FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Feeding Hope, One Neighbour at a Time

The Food Hamper Program and the Community Food Hub are the heart of the Regina Food Bank. We provide immediate, reliable access to food for individuals and families facing food insecurity.  Food is provided to registered clients at no cost.

What We Provide

Clients are eligible for food hampers every 2 weeks. Clients who are unable to pick up a hamper may request delivery.   Each food hamper contains food tailored to household size and is guided by Canada’s Food Guide.

 

Hampers include a balanced mix of:

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables

  • Dairy products

  • Fresh and frozen proteins

  • Bread and grains

  • Pantry staples and ready-to-eat items

Community Food Hub

Clients are eligible to access the Community Food Hub where every 2 weeks.  They are able to select food that best fits their family’s needs. 

Items available include:

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables 

  • Dairy products 

  • Fresh and frozen proteins 

  • Bread and grains 

  • Pantry staples and ready-to-eat items 

 

No cost. No barriers. Everyone is welcome.

How to Access Food Distribution

1. Proof of address 
  • Bank Statement

  • Utility bill (in your name)

  • Rental / Lease Agreement (in your name)

 

2. Government-issued ID for everyone in your household that you will be receiving food for (including children):
  • Saskatchewan Driver’s License

  • Saskatchewan Identification Card

  • Saskatchewan Health Card

  • Canadian Passport

  • Certificate of Canadian Citizenship

  • Permanent Resident Card

  • Certificate of Indian Status

  • Canadian Military Identification Card

 

3. Income Details - While documentation is not required, please provide the following, including the amounts received:
  • Full-time or part-time income

  • Saskatchewan Income Support (SIS)

  • Child / Spousal Support

  • Child Tax Credit

  • Canadian Pension Plan (CPP)

  • Employment Income (EI)

  • Any additional sources of income

Once you have registered, you will then be able to book an appointment for a Hamper or to visit the Community Food Hub.

To book an appointment, call (306)791-6533 and press “1” or visit the 445 Winnipeg Street location in person.
