The Regina Food Bank is proud to announce a new partnership with the Dream Community Foundation, a national not-for-profit dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals, families, and neighbourhoods across Canada. This collaboration will strengthen the Regina Food Bank’s School Food Program, ensuring more children have the nutrition they need to thrive.

The School Food Program currently provides nutritious meals and snacks to 2,000 children across eight schools and two community youth programs in Regina. The program includes a Lunch Program, Weekend Snack Kits, Pantry Box and Summer Hampers. By addressing food insecurity at schools in critical areas, the program aims to improve students’ learning without the distraction of hunger.

“At Dream & Dream Community Foundation, we believe that strong communities start with ensuring basic needs are met,” said Sinéad Moran, Community Ambassador at Dream Community Foundation. “No child should have to worry about their next meal, and by partnering with the Regina Food Bank, we’re taking a meaningful step toward ensuring that students have access to nutritious food at school.”

To learn well, our children need to eat well. Research shows that nutrition plays a key role in the healthy development of students. Nutritious foods provide our body and mind with the energy needed to grow, be active, socialize, stay healthy and learn.

“The impact of our school food program goes far beyond the plate,” said John Bailey, CEO at Regina Food Bank. “By building a more positive connection with food, kids can learn and thrive in and outside the classroom and eventually breaking the cycle of food insecurity. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of children and families in our community.”

The partnership aligns with both organizations’ missions to create stronger, healthier communities through collaboration and meaningful action. As food insecurity continues to affect families across Canada, initiatives like the School Food Program play a crucial role in providing stability and support where it’s needed most.

Engaging explanation that simplifies a topic many people find confusing. Your writing style makes it approachable, and it reminded me of something I read on https://www.floridaprobatelawgroup.com/ that offered a complementary viewpoint. It is always helpful to see multiple angles on the same subject, especially when presented so clearly and professionally.

This is a powerful example of how collaboration can make a real difference in supporting students and families. The explanation of the partnership and its impact was very clear and encouraging to read. I recently saw a related conversation on a review blog mentioning https://the915lawyer.com/ that explored how community initiatives benefit from clear communication and shared purpose. Thank you for highlighting such important work in a transparent and informative way.
