Regina Food Bank Appoints Mary Weimer as CEO

Seasoned executive and community leader to advance the organization’s mission of food security with dignity

REGINA, SK — The Regina Food Bank Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Weimer as CEO, effective July 13, 2026. Weimer brings nearly three decades of executive leadership experience across entrepreneurship, financial services, and retail, along with a deep and longstanding commitment to the Regina community.

Weimer’s appointment follows the departure of John Bailey, who led the Regina Food Bank since April 2019 and recently accepted the position of President & CEO at Economic Development Regina.

Weimer has held senior executive roles at Conexus Credit Union, where she served as Chief Member Experience Officer and Chief Advice Officer, and at Harvard Developments, where she was Chief Operating Officer. Earlier in her career, she played a pivotal role in scaling Hillberg & Berk as its COO. She also co-owns Assiniboia Gallery, one of Regina’s premier art galleries, which she and her husband Jeremy have operated for more than 26 years.

At the same time, the Board would like to acknowledge Evelyn Cerda for her contribution as Interim CEO over the last few months”.

Weimer is an active community volunteer and board director. She currently serves as a director for Cowessess Ventures Ltd., the economic development arm of Cowessess First Nation, and as a director for the Regina Public Library. Her past board roles include SaskArt, Globe Theatre, Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan, and the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce.
