SaskMilk feeds the future through a new partnership with the Regina Food Bank.

There are 15 critical nutrients in every glass of milk. Today, the Regina Food Bank and SaskMilk added the most important part of nourishment, hope!

Everyone loves dairy. Whether it is milk, cheese, or ice cream on a hot day, dairy is one of the most in-demand items for the Regina Food Bank. It is a critical tool towards fighting food insecurity because of its essential nutrients and great taste. Dairy has historically been very hard for the Food Bank and their clients to secure, meaning Regina families go without milk. Thanks to SaskMilk, and partner Saputo, thousands of children will have year-round access to milk! SaskMilk is ensuring no one goes without by committing to a three-year partnership that will provide:

• 52,250 units of 250 ml milk annually to support the Regina Food Bank School Food Program.

• 50,000 units of 2 litre milk cartons annually to support people across Regina.

To celebrate this partnership, a new SaskMilk Dairy Section will be located at the BMO Asahtowikamik Community Food Hub. For SaskMilk, supporting the community with access to dairy is incredibly important.

Over 350 children at Thomson Community School, a beneficiary of SaskMilk and the School Food Program, celebrated with milk and cookies illustrating the importance of nutrition and community partnerships.

The Regina Food Bank feeds over 17,000 people a month, nearly half of which are children.
